Welcome to Title I

Mission Statement

The mission of the Title I Program is to assist eligible Title I schools in their efforts to provide services that will ensure that all children obtain a high-quality education and achieve proficiency on high academic standards.

Overview

Title I of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is a program administered by the United States Department of Education to distribute funding to schools and school districts with a high percentage of students from low-income families. The federal government has reauthorized the Act every five years since its enactment.

The legislation mandates that the funds be authorized for educators’ professional development, instructional materials, and resources to support educational programs and family engagement. Once a school receives Title I funding, it is regulated by an entire set of federal legislation.

SNACS is participating in the Title I program for the 2024-2025 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to provide more support for all students to obtain a high-quality education and to achieve proficiency on high academic standards through Personalized Learning, Choice, and Play!
